When you submit a request on our site, we (and our partner LeadScout, which powers the application form) collect information such as:
- Vehicle preference (type, approximate budget)
- Credit situation (estimated score, bankruptcy, consumer proposal)
- Employment status and gross monthly income
- Location (province / postal code)
- Contact details: first and last name, phone number, email address
- Your consents (to be connected with a lender partner, optional marketing)
We also automatically collect certain technical data during your visit: IP address, browser type, pages visited, referral sources (e.g. Meta Ads, Google), and cookie/pixel data used for analytics and advertising (including the Meta Pixel).
3. Why do we collect it and on what basis?
We collect your information, with your consent, to connect you with lender and dealer partners who may be able to offer an auto-financing option suited to your situation, and to communicate with you about your request. Requesting a match uses a soft credit check that does not affect your credit score. A hard credit inquiry, if any, is performed later by a lender only if you move forward with a specific offer.
4. Who do we share it with?
To process your request, your information is shared with:
- LeadScout, the platform that operates our application form and its lender network;
- one or more specialized auto lenders and dealer partners selected based on your profile;
- service providers that help us operate the site (hosting, analytics, advertising).
We do not sell your personal information to unrelated commercial third parties. Some partners may be located outside your province or Canada; where that is the case, your information is handled under agreements requiring appropriate protection.
5. How long do we keep it?
We keep your information only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described above and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations, after which it is securely deleted or anonymized.
6. How is it protected?
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is restricted to authorized personnel. We report any material security incident in accordance with applicable law.
7. Your rights
